Unfortunately, in the race for dollars, truth is manipulated, distorted, bent, and twisted.
This occurs all around us today and we must be vigilant in order to discern truth and make wise life decisions, particularly when health is at issue.
It is an obvious truth that all organisms are best suited for a particular environment and a food source that fits their genetic expectation. Anything short of that compromises health. Thus, distorting that truth in the interest of dollars is unethical.
Companies that do not tell the truth about how to feed your pet or what their products are or can do, should be avoided. Even if their products create no apparent harm, as a matter of principle, misinformation, deceptions, incompetence, and fraud should not be supported.
When seeking the best pet food, consider these ethical filters:
- Packaging and marketing information should not contain false, misleading, and incompetent messages.
- Graphic representations should be honest.
- The company should be responsive to consumer questions by providing truth and competence.
- The company should not be a follower of market whims having nothing to do with achieving the best pet food.
